She graduated with Honors from Texas Christian University with a BS degree in Biology and a minor in Religion Studies. She went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston and went on to her Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
She has been board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 1998 and continues to participate in the Maintenance of Certification program. She is an active member of both the National and Texas Chapters of the American College of Physicians.
She has worked as the Director of Quality from 2007-2014 at Triumph and Kindred hospitals and served as a documentation coach to her peers at Tomball Regional Hospital 2008-2011. Over the years she has served on multiple committees at Tomball Regional Hospital and has volunteered in teaching clerkships with medical students and nurse practioner students.
She has been honored by multiple publications during her years of practice including: Who's Who Northwest communit 1998, "Top Doc" H Magazine 2004,2006,2016, "America's Top Physicians" 2012, 2013, 2014, and The National Academy of Medicine 2012.
